I don't know whether this is similar, but here is what happened to me, last
month.
On a windows 10 machine, using no password, and jaws 17, JAWS would not
start. The solution was to not check the box for starting at the log on
screen. But, check the second box.
Works fine. Don't ask me why. Hope this helps.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws not starting when computer does.

I have a problem that just started today after installing jaws 17.08106
running windows 10 I have the check box checked to start at the logon screen
and I called FS tech support and was told I needed to check both check boxes
but that does not work either jaws still will not start when the computer
does. I would like to know if any one has any ideas why it was working fine
and nothing is changed but installing the update.
I downloaded it from the FS web sight and saved it and then installed it,
any ideas would be appreciated.
Jesus died for us why cant we live for him.
