Hi Tom, The problem with many laptops is that there is no Insert key. On my new Lenovo X250, the insert key is a FN+End key combination. And, typically, the FN key is on the left side of the keyboard and the End key on the right. So, it makes it really difficult to get some of the JAWS key combinations. I suspect this is the issue that the writer is dealing with. The only real way to take care of it is to use the Laptop keyboard.

For example, insert plus T will give you the status bar. This change will make the caps lock your jaws key, so whenever you would hold down insert to perform a function, instead hold down caps lock. For example, caps lock f7 will list links.
