The latest build of jaws 16 is the latest version that will work with
windows 10. Yes jaws 17 will work with windows 10. I used NVDA after I
removed jaws to get me through everything.
The tool of which you spoke of I did not use, because I don't have much on
my machine so it was fair game in knowing what would be compatible. I'm sure
someone will email the tool or at best the link you will need but I answered
a couple of questions you had.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] are there any special instructions regarding Jaws when
upgrading to windows10

Hi list, I am about to upgrade my windows7 desktop computer to windows10.
As the free upgrade ends at the end of this month. I have been holding off,
as wanted to wait until Jaws would properly work with Windows10. I am
currently running Jaws17. Is it true that I need to uninstall all current
versions I have on my system? If so, how am I meant to initiate the
windows10 download and install without any speech running? I believe the FS
has also made a removal tool available. Which will remove any leftover parts
of thier products. Where do I get that from? Do I really need it? And if so,
do I run that before or after I uninstall Jaws? Once again, how would I run
it if I will have no speech running? Are there any other tips I need to know
in order to have a successful upgrade? And does Jaws17 work well with Jaws10
