Hi Arianna,

The default settings should work fine with JAWS.

I didn't change anything when I installed the program.

Sincerely,

Sadam Ahmed

Thanks, Sadam. I'll give it a try.

Are there any settings that make it work well with JAWS?

Arianna,

You can obtain Thunderbird from the below link:

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/

I use it both for personal and school related email and it works like a dream with both JAWS and NVDA.

Once your on the page just look for the free download button.

Hi Arianna,
Using JAWS and win10, the two best clients that work best with JAWS are Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail. Right behind, After the new build of win10 that will come out in a week, the win10 mail app will be accessible with JAWS. Unfortunately, without Outlook at this moment, Thunderbird is your only choice with which you can import any account into it, imap or pop. With Windows Live Mail, you cannot import MS accounts like Outlook mail, or Hotmail. I would suggest Thunderbird at this point, because there have been some little hiccups with Windows Live Mail.

I know this question has been asked before, but since I wasn't using W10 at that time I really didn't pay attention to the answers.

What is the most JAWS friendly email program to use? I can't say I'm crazy about Outlook, so any other suggestions?

Thank you.

Arianna
