Check out the following link; Safe Mode is a special Thunderbird execution mode that can be used to troubleshoot issues in Thunderbird. In Safe Mode, you can reset some settings or disable add-ons that might be the source of problems. By comparing Thunderbird's behavior in normal mode to its behavior in Safe Mode, you can find out if problems are being caused by a specific add-on.
Note: Thunderbird Safe Mode has no relation to Windows Safe Mode. Note: In Thunderbird versions prior to 5, there was a shortcut on the Windows start menu for Thunderbird Safe Mode. As of Thunderbird 5 this item has been removed, and replaced with a Restart with Add-ons Disabled entry on the help menu. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of anna vimini Sent: Wednesday, August 31, 2016 1:43 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] jaws , safe mode and windows 8.1 I need to run Thunderbird in safe mode to see what is wrong with it because lately it has been very slow in letting me have access to my mail I have to Waite at least thirty seconds before I can read my mail Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws safe mode and windows 8.1 I have the registry key but wy do you whant to use thunderbird in safemode ? -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: JAWS-Users-List [ mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] För anna vimini Skickat: den 31 augusti 2016 19:24 Till: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Ämne: [JAWS-Users] Jaws safe mode and windows 8.1 Okay but how do I get windows 8.1 into safe mode because I want to run Mozilla Thunderbird in safe mode a registry key to have sound in safe mode -----Ursprungligt meddelande----- Från: JAWS-Users-List [ mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] För anna vimini Skickat: den 31 augusti 2016 18:15 Till: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Ämne: [JAWS-Users] jaws safe mode and windows 8.1 Hi all, how do I get my windows 8.1 computer in safe mode and does jaws 15 work in safe mode? thanks in advance and when you go to read a message in a new message window it does the same thing. so I want to run Thunderbird in safe mode to see if it does the same thing.
