Hi David,

Basically, during the installation, the Protected Storage component has to
be updated. The Protected Storage component is responsible for remembering
account passwords. Unfortunately, in the installer for the last free
version the checkbox which insures the Protected Storage component gets
updated is unchecked by default for some reason. Or, the protected storage
component can become corrupted. Just reinstall OE it and make sure the
Protected Storage checkbox is checked. Don't forget to run the installer as
administrator and reboot after the installation is complete. After you
reboot and run Outlook Express, it will ask for your account passwords one
final time, but after that it should remember them for subsequent sessions.

Also, make sure the preview pane is turned off for the other issue.
  Take care.
  Mike

Well; I haven't heard anything regarding WLM, so, this is news to me,
Speaking of outlook express,
One of my client's is using the latest version of OE, on a windows 7
machine, every time she opens the program, she's asked for her password,
once she type the password, and presses enter, she's then logged in.
however, she needs to alt+tab into the outlook express inbox, she never had
to do this before.
Has anyone experience this?
If so, is there a fix/solution?
Thank you.

I've been using WLM for my email for quite a while, but now that it's
leaving us, want to use outlook express, and would like to get with a
member that uses outlook express, to get back with me, and let me know
what it's like to use
