Hi Dwight, I know how to pin & unpin items from the Taskbar, but since I've never used Windows 8, I don't have a clue as to why you would get a Taskbar message while in, msconfig, & therefore I can't offer any help. I have a HP Envy and Jaws 14 with windows 8.1. When I try these instructions I get a message that I should use task bar for this operation. But I don't know how to use the task bar. Do you have any instructions for the tqask bar?
