Thank you for the tip, I did report it.  I use also Win 10 and JAWS 17, but
perhaps it was because I did not close JAWS 17 before installing JAWS 18, it
did not remind me to do so and I overlooked it.

The transfer of settings from JAWS 17 to JAWS 18 worked for me as described.
Given that it didn't work for you, it would be helpful to write a comment to
this effect on VFO's bug reporting form for the beta release.

In my case, the system was a Windows 10 laptop in my work environment on

I installed the beta version alongside JAWS 17.
