For the record, in case there's not some specific reason to use a microsoft mail client as your fallback that i'm unaware of, Thunderbird might be suitable. It gets very sluggish if you have lots of emails being synced while you're trying to read messages, but the sluggishness goes away once it is synced up. You can do threaded conversation view, and are able with JAWS's drag and drop feature most of the time to move the columns around to get a really efficient order of information in the message list so you can quickly perhaps even more quickly than the microsoft clients review and delete unwanted conversations and the like. I can most likely help you set up thunderbird if you want to try it and could use help. If you're interested let me know the best way to contact you. Can you use skype chat?
