David and list, I have been using the JAWS 18 beta for 4 weeks. Very snappy. I urge anyone planning to use the version 18, see the two freedom scientific podcasts with Jonathan Mosan and Eric Damerie. You can hear about the new features. So far no problems with the beta. Final release should be in two weeks. John
