If you are unable to find the Refresh Firefox button on your version of Firefox, you can also do a manual refresh by creating a new profile. See instructions on how to create a new profile. What does the refresh feature do? All of your Firefox settings and personal information are stored in a profile folder. The refresh feature works by creating a new profile folder for you while saving your important data. Add-ons which are normally stored inside the Firefox profile folder, such as extensions and themes, will be removed. Add-ons stored in other locations, such as plugins, will not be removed but any modified preferences (such as plugins you have disabled) will be reset. Firefox will save these items: list of 7 items . Bookmarks . Browsing and download history . Passwords . Open windows and tabs . Cookies . Web form auto-fill information . Personal dictionary list end These items and settings will be removed: list of 1 items . Extensions and themes, website permissions, modified preferences, added search engines, DOM storage, security certificate and device settings, download actions, plugin settings, toolbar customizations, user styles and social features will be removed. list end Note: Your old Firefox profile will be placed on your desktop in a folder named "Old Firefox Data". If the refresh didn't fix your problem you can restore some of the information not saved by copying files to the new profile that was created. If you don't need this folder any longer, you should delete it as it contains sensitive information. This article, like all Firefox support, is brought to you mostly by volunteers, who keep Mozilla proudly independent and open source. Keep bro Take care. Does Firefox have a similar feature? I am instead having my main set of browser problems with Firefox. Does Firefox have a reset button similar to what you describe below for IE? Here are the steps to do that. 1. Open IE 2. Press alt + T for tools menu. 3. Press up arrow once and you should be on options. Press the enter key. 4. Press shift + Tab and you should hear General. 5. Press the arrow key until you hear advance. 6. Tab until you hear reset button. 7. Press enter on the reset button. 8. A dialog box will come up. Press tab once and you will hear something about checking this box to delete personal information. Press the spacebar here to check this check box. 9. Tab twice to the reset button and press the spacebar. Wait a few minutes then close IE and reopen it. Now it should work like new. Note checking the box about removing personal information will not remove your favorites in IE. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Fanus Sent: Thursday, December 08, 2016 4:49 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws 18 and internet explorer 11 problem Hello list Since the latest upgrade of jaws 18 it crashes 9 out of ten times when I open ie11 on my windows10 pc.
