If I understand your question correctly, put your focus at the beginning of the sentence and press either of two key combinations. Alt-delete will give you the position in terms of inches. JAWS key+3 on the numpad will give you the position number in relation to the margin.
Another way is to press the key combo control-e. This is the toggle for centering and un-centering text. Press Listen to what JAWS reports. If the first press of this combo has JAWS verbalize "align left," you'll know the text wasn't left-aligned. You'll simultaneously fix the problem. But if JAWS says "centered," press the key combo again to left-align the text. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of jyandt.mar...@comcast.net Sent: Thursday, December 15, 2016 9:21 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] MS Word 2013 Question Morning All. I have a question regarding MS Word 2013. Is there a keyboard command that can tell me if a specific sentence is indented, or if there is any other type of formatting? I have Windows 10, if that makes any difference, along with JAWS 17. Thanks.
