Interesting. I don't know what version of Thunderbird I started with
some 18 months ago, but to get from the list of folders to the list of
emails in that folder has always taken only one tab.
The only time JAWS won't read the email list is when Thunderbird first
starts up, but if I tab around and come back to the list of emails, then
JAWS reads the list with no problem.

arrowing up and down moves highlight from email to email in that folder, JAWs
is just not reading anything making it unusable. If I hit enter blindly (no
pun) it does open up that email however my need is for JAWS to read out each
email header as I arrow up/down the list view.
How do I solve this?
