You certainly can have OpenBook and JAWS running simultaneously. First, open the JAWS Configuration Manager and locate the OpenBook configuration file. Then, press ALT+S and select Advanced. Then, uncheck the check boxes labeled "Sleep Mode" and "Unload Synthesizer." and move to the OK button and press ENTER. Then, press CTRL+S to save the settings and press ALT+F4 to exit the Configuration Manager.
Then, in OpenBook, you can select to use a JAWS setup. I don't currently have OpenBook installed or I'd detail how to do this, too. ----- Original Message ----- From: "John" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 26, 2006 11:28 AM Subject: Re: [jaws-users] Jaws and Open Book 7 no you can't have openbook and jaws running on the same time.
