Okay, that explains a lot. When originally designed, I didn't have the
intention of folks using them, so I wasn't too explicit about making the
signatures easy-to-understand. "Good enough for Bob" was good enough
for me. ;)
You've just added a good use-case to the pile, so that's motivation to
Make It Right.
