Sure - I wasn't saying DON'T use it, just that it is one of a number of things you need to improve system performance. For instance if you use tools like this exclusively, you can end up buying more disk and memory to make a SSELECT go faster, but when you examine the source code you find that it doesn't need to be SSELECT, then fursther find you don't even need the external SELECT, then you realize that you don't even need to run the program... etc ;-)

I meant that there is no special set up of nmon needed for jBASE systems - just go ahead and use it as per the docs.
