This used to happen to me ALL the time trying to do exactly what you are trying to do. The important part is to add the CHAR(0): as Dan states to force a flush. However, using the @ positioning is totally unnecessary and just adds complications, Thus, try: CRT ".":CHAR(0): it should work just fine.
