jBASE 4.1 and above uses ICU for date conversions. This is accurate for the change in Julian to Gregorian and also beyond the birth of various mythical beings. That said, jBASE is still using an old version of ICU as far as I know, and so there could be bugs fixed in the latest ICU that are not fixed in the jBASE utilized version.
