Hi!

Just a FYI. As many of you have noted the jboss.conf file is not exactly
"great" as it is hard to know which attributes are set to what value. I
have been thinking of creating some kind of configuration utility that
uses a better configuration format. However, I just checked in the JMX
spec and it talks quite a bit about persistence configurations and how
they are to be supplied. Unfortunately the JMX RI (that we are using) is
way out of date wrt the JMX spec, so it's hard to do anything right now
in this regard.

So, since the JMX spec/RI is going final before J1 (i.e. sometime this
week) we will have to wait just a little bit longer, but after that it
seems very possible to make a much better configuration implementation.

I really recommend that the curious minded read the JMX spec. It is very
cool, and will be a great thing for jBoss.

over n out,
  Rickard
