I had to disagree with your observation. Just because they are not great web
site maintainer does not mean Exolab is dead. In fact, they are very much
alive but prefer to keep a stealth mode, unlike jBoss. This is what I know so
far:

OpenXML: Arkin has tranferred his energy to Xerces and they are working on a
initiative to define an API for XSL call TRaX (http://trax.openxml.org)
OpenEJB: A release is scheduled in July. Their reason is they would release
only when it is ready
OpenJMS: Alive and kicking but source is only available from CVS, so it may
appear dead
OpenDAV: this project has recently come under the Apache Jakarta umbrella
call Slide
Castor: very much alive judging from the volume of discussion in its mailing
list
Tyrex: nothing happening much, I agree
OpenORB (aka DOG): lots of things happening here: a CORBA 2.3 compliant ORB
has been released and they are working on a CCM container

Enough said! Way to go Exolab!
