I just tried OptimizeIt and ran the performance tests. Very interesting.
OptimizeIt is a very cool tool. Now I know for sure where the
bottlenecks are.
The funny thing is that 15% of the time (the biggest part actually!) is
spent in StringBuffer.expandCapacity. So, we need to check through the
code and make sure that string buffers aren't being created too short,
or they will be constantly expanding/copying.
I think I'll actually buy OptimizeIt :-)
