Funny thing just happened. I went to a meeting around here, and the
fellow next door to the one I was talking to was into Home
Communications (you know the Smart Home thing, with stuff in your home
talking to other stuff). "Hm..", I thought, "Home Com. could use Jini.
And jBoss should use Jini. So if my fridge uses Jini and jBoss uses
Jini, my fridge could use jBoss to send an email to the store to buy
things, or to store its inventory list for me to view on my
flat-screen-on-a-wall home-control thingy". But then I thought, "Nah..
too out there". But then that guy said "Wow! That's great! You should
talk to the Linux guys around the corner". "Hm..", I thought, as I do
sometimes, "jBoss on Linux buying groceries for me. Cool. Now there's a
thought".
:-) Too weird? Too techie? Too pointless? Or just plain marvelous? Who
knows.
