Hi, 

I don't know (yet) about loading times, but we have begun a program of
performance tuning (memory/CPU) of jboss.

We use OptimizeIt which seems to be quite a good tool (get an evaluation
version from http://www.optimizeit.com/).

If you use BETA-PROD 02, then debug logging for the console is already
switched off (in jboss.conf) so there should be no dramatic performance
increase in switching off the console itself.
