I am not one of the developers. Though I only can tell you what I would
do. First have a look at:
http://www.jboss.org/documentation/container.html
After that you might want to look at:
http://www.telkel.com/bugzilla/buglist.cgi?bug_status=NEW&bug_status=ASSIGNED&bug_status=REOPENED
At this time you should have a rough idea in which area you like to
work. Try to contact the person that worked on that area in the past and
start coding ...
Perhaps someone is able to give you a more specific advice than mine...
