Okay... I added the following to my jboss.xml
deployment descriptor:
<authentication-module>
java:/EJBSecurityManager
</authentication-module>
<role-mapping-manager>
java:/SimpleRealmMapping
</role-mapping-manager>
Unfortunately, same exception...???
