The major reason IIOP was chosen, or rather, the major reason why a
protocol was chosen *at all* was political, not technical. Not even the
spec writers can justify it. Go figure.

But if you, for some reason, need to have a protocol chosen, then IIOP
would be the logical choice since it's so widely used in these circles.

Why it hasn't been implemented yet in JBoss? Because noone's asking for
it. No need, no drive, no do.
