I know I'm new, but I worked for a big German Online Portal, they cluster
using round robin. Right now (about 400CPUs) they're losing control. 
IMHO a course architecture would be great for starters.

Hmmm, game...

Would it be better to do it piecemeal like this, developing a bit at a
time, or to implement the underlying infrastructure first (like a
distributed transaction manager)?
