Hi Andreas,
I decided to have a look at this, but have not been able to reproduce
the problem.
First let me run through my setup in case I have misunderstood your
problem...
I have created a simple CORBA server which creates a single Object and
writes its IOR to a file. I then then have a Session EJB within JBoss
which calls the CORBA server. To save configuration problems I have the
client of the EJB read the IOR file and pass the String as a parameter
in the method call. This is obviously a bit artificial but gets round
having to configure the Bean in JBoss.
I'm using the standard jdk orb. I also get a security exception when
trying to use the Singleton orb instance - this is a bit strange as the
documentation implies the access to this should only be restricted when
using an applet. This is a bit of a drag, as calling
org.omg.CORBA.ORB.init(args, props) will create a new orb instance each
time which isn't very efficient if done for every call.
I'll investigate further and see if I can get it to fail by following
what you've done more closely. If you can send me a copy of your code
that would be useful. I've written a JBossTest style module which runs
my code so I can send you that if you want. I'll try and see how it
behaves if I use Visibroker as the orb as well...
cheers,
Luke.
P.S. Are you aware of the source version of the JDK which is available?
This is easier than usig a decompiled version, but is only available
for the standard jdk.
