You are right. But then, I did a CMP bean and a JMX service you could use to
make things more abstracted (i.e. subject to modifications without impacting
the jetty side any more)

sure. But in my case, you should simply use the JMX service which has about
3 methods:
- getSession
- setSession
- removeSession
