Sorry to post this to dev, but what is the RMI port listed under the Naming MBean? Does JBoss have an RMI registry? We are trying to deploy some simple RMI objects as MBeans for management purposes and we're wondering if we can avoid the use of JNDI or not?
Are there any issues with using JMX notifications for application events, for example if we build a MBean which is providing some type of realtime feed service and propagating events along to other MBeans using the notifications is that a bad thing?
