Now I have my swing client running with a jboss backend I would like to move this beast out on to the internet. Some of my clients have firewalls that only allow them http and https access through a proxy, so a direct connection is out. It would seem I could optimize this by writting a custom EJB proxy for the connection and use HTTP tunneling for the naming lookup. I think soap for my app is overkill and would be quite slow.
