The one item I have run into now and then are not being able to see the default property settings that drive the build because they are stuck in a buildmagic jar someplace. All the properties and their defaults should be readily available as a file included into the build so that problems are easy to troubleshoot, and there is a quick reference for the properties that affect the build.
