Category: JBossServer Group: v3.2 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Sebastian Neudert (sneudert) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: IP resolving Problem Initial Comment: We're running JBoss 3.2.0 on linux. If the hostname isn't contained neither in /etc/hosts nor the DNS, JBoss hangs at startup without any error reporting. More generally: JBoss services throw no exceptions while trying to open a socket if the ip of the host cannot be determined. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Heiko W.Rupp (pilhuhn) Date: 2003-03-13 09:42 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=217112 While it is probably not nice that JBoss does not complain at all, this is a general problem on the host you are using. Other applications will work equally "well". ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=376685&aid=701698&group_id=22866 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by:Crypto Challenge is now open!
