This is a canned response addressing a site-wide issue with CVS.
Instabilities with some of the new CVS servers, as well as the need for further tuning has been causing problems with project CVS syncing from the primary CVS server (used by developers) to the secondary servers (used by anonymous checkouts). This has caused problems with both ViewCVS access and anonymous checkouts.
These problems have been systematically identified and fixed. Your patience has been appreciated. At the moment, there are no known problems with syncing. If your problems with syncing are not solved at this time, please followup to this SR and let us know.
Your patience while we addressed this large-scale (in many senses of the phrase) has been appreciated and we regret any inconvenience.
