you can just ditch the twiddle stuff and it should compile fine for jb 3.2.3.  You 
won't (as stated) be able to run the unit tests however.  (just rm -rf 
src/java/org/jboss/console/twiddle/**  src/test/org/jboss/console/twiddle)...

Twiddle is a sample protocol to demonstrate how fun and easy it is to add other 
protocols to mail services.  Unfortunately, I've NOT had a fun time with the 
intricacies of JUNIT and the ant classloader interactions in the twiddle unit test... 
M1 may or may not include the twiddle example.  I'm leaning towards not.  You can as 
mentioned downgrade the twiddle protocol example to 3.2.3's MBeanServer (and this is 
in the CVS history) and it will work of course.
