I had a similar problem when attempting to install the JBOSS IDE for version 3.0 of 
Eclipse when I was actually running version 2.1.2

In the Eclipse feature update tree, try clicking on:
JBoss-IDE 1.0/Eclipse 2.1
the JBoss-IDE versions will then be displayed in a tree branch, click on the latest 
version:
JBoss-IDE 1.2.2

Hope this helps - It worked for me!!
