If a line like: <ql- compiler>org.jboss.ejb.plugins.cmp.jdbc.JDBCEJBQLCompil er</ql-compiler> is missing from the defaults section of % server%/conf/standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml then a null-pointer exception results in the getInstance (Class impl, Catalog catalog) method of JDBCQueryManager (line 88 in 3.2.5), when an EJB with EJB-QL finder methods is deployed. See attachment for trace. It seems that the code should throw a DeploymentException, but the catalog class is null so its name cannot be recovered.
