It�s a long story, so sorry for disturbing.
I�m (and folks with me) are new to J2EE, but we have project launched
already.
Basically, we start from WebLogic, but have (already) restrictions how to
use it.
The major (actually the only one) restriction is to have only one CPU for
WebLogic
per 500 users instalation.
Because it is clear (it is more or less obvious) that single CPU per 500
users for
application server is not enough, so we are forced to look at the
alternatives.
EJBoss (no matter how is stable and feature rich now) is very attractive
because
of OpenSource. So our plan follows.
For the first instalation to have WebLogic + many EJBoss application
servers,
and starting from second version to move away from WebLogic to EJBoss
completely. At that time we will know about both app servers how good they
are. Until then...
Now we need to know some comparitions for J2EE platform implementation
about WebLogic and EJBoss. Also it would be good to get EJBoss TODO
list with time estimations (until 2001 in general).
If you folks don�t mind, we will join EJBoss development at the begining of
2001
in �load balancing� or �advanced security� develoment because (what we were
able to figure out until now) this is very important for our project.
Until then, it would be good to keep in track with the technologies under
implementation,
and to form (or join) a team which develops technology which we guess is
important to have.
So, where I can get the feature list of EJBoss (or just install and play it)
and maybe somewhere
is todo list, just to know were EJBoss is moving now...
