site.
JMX offers you a way to manage software components without knowing
Java because it offers you the interface in a structure of objects instead
of reflection objects. Thus it is possible to communicate between software
components without having the class or the interface. Therefore you can
replace a component by another component and just keep the management
interface the same (at least for the methods you know).
In addition JMX let you load components through its dynamic loader.
But the most important part (which is not widely used but you can see when
you start jBoss and open a browser and add: http://localhost:8082) is that
you can manage these components remotely with our without java clients.
