This
looks like a bug, the technical reasons :
J2eeDeployer packages up the directory into a zip file using
URLWizard.downloadAndPackTemporary.
downloadAndPackTemporary returns the URL to the newly created temp file,
which is then checked for each of the possible descriptors, i.e. ejb-jar.xml,
application.xml, web.xml. (J2eeDepoyer.installApplication)
If it
finds a descriptor, it opens it and looks at the root tag, in this case it will
be ejb-jar.
At
this point it notices this is an EJB and thus calls installEJB, however this is
where the bug is. The URL passed to the installEJB method is the original
URL, i.e. the actual directory being watched, however installEJB expects to have
an archive, and thus the Zip Exceptions.
I
think the code that calls the installEJB method should read
:

Which
would make the J2eeDeployer pick up the tempory deployed file, rather than the
file in ../Deploy
Could
