Hi!
Basically EVERYTHING goes to jboss.jcml now. What you can do is download
both 2.0 FINAL and PRE2.1 and you will be able to learn the differences
from the provided configurations for Hypersonic and InstantDB.
(jboss.conf, jboss.properties, jboss.jcml in 2.0, jboss.jcml in 2.1) 
Sorry, that is definitly not ease of use. But perhaps you could write
down your steps and comments and we will be happy to put them online
ASAP.
If you don't get it settled that way write again please. I might be able
to cut a slice out of my time and try to check the differences like I
explained it.
