I don't really know what the problem is here. I'm a bit overloaded atm. But if you can create a JIRA issue, and attach a simple example to reproduce with steps, then hopefully someone can take a look soon.
With the first exception - what is the NPE from Hibernate about? You might want to cross post to the jbpm forum, as I'm not sure exactly what is Seam and what is JBPM here.
