Which area is the server located in? This table http://java.sun.com/javase/timezones/tzdata_versions.html lists down the JRE versions which contain the fixes for various regions. For example, the table there mentions that the JRE version 6u5 (Jave 6 Update 5) takes care of : anonymous wrote : | New data for Argentina: at 2am local time on December 29, 2007, the DST offset moved from GMT-4 to GMT-5.
Also, did you try to upgrade to the latest JRE version (Java SE 6 Update 10 RC)? Do you see the same issue there?
