It does look like the latest 3.1.0 SNAPSHOT fixes our problem. In the meantime, would this problem also apply in other locking schemes besides MVCC locking? I'm not seeing it when using either Pessimistic or Optimistic locking, but I'm wondering now if that's just luck with the timings.
