That's how a request is mapped to the JSF servlet. It is done in web.xml. That's a VERY newbie question. I suggest you look at a book on JSF or an online tutorial. Take some time to educate yourself on basic java web app concepts. Otherwise, you will just get lost when it's time to do something complicated.
