I tracked down the source of this weirdness... parseInt() in firefox actually 
treats the int as an octal if you pass in "08" or "09".  I've updated CVS with 
a workaround for this strange behaviour, and tested it in both FF and IE.  If 
someone could try it out with Safari/Opera & others it would be a big help.
