[JBoss-user] cookie value difference in Tomcat vs Jetty

Title: cookie value difference in Tomcat vs Jetty

This is not a jBoss specific question. 

I have impelmented a Servlet setting a specific cookie 
       
        region=.us.ny

In tomcat the original text is preserved, in Jetty cookie value is automatically encoded, result:

        region=%2Eus%2Eny

Anyone have any idea which implementation is correct, what's the workaround to make my code compatible?
