Well, let's take chapter 5 of the documentation. Among other things, this tells you how to create portlet instances. I did that, but the new portlet I'd created an instance of didn't appear on the page.
Do I have to log in as a non-admin user to see it? If not, how do I see it? I need a very basic introduction to how it works, and that isn't there in the docs. Is there a book on Portal?
