I got same problem when runing two machine clusters and I can duplicate the problem. It happens when
1) machine A is up running 2) there are requests comming to the cluster, so the tree is being updated. 3) In the middle, Machine B is restarted. The LRUPolicy in machine B got NullPoinerException during startup. I am running JBOSS TreeCache version 1.2.3 Please help.
