I am performing a merge operation on an entity bean that contains a member variable that is a OneToMany relationship to another child entity bean. When I remove one of these children from the collection maintained in the parent entity bean the deletion that I though would occur is not propegated. Is this the correct behavior? I would think that the container would be smart enough to figure out that some of the children should be removed and cascade the removal ? Can anyone shed some insight into this behavior?
